General Inu Yasha Information

Here is some VERY general informatino about Inu Yasha, because I get a lot of questions about these things.

    Inu Yasha Questions

  1. What is Inu Yasha?

Inu Yasha is an ongoing manga by Rumiko Takahashi in the weekly Japanese comic Shounen Sunday. Tankouban (graphic novels) contain 10 chapters and are released every couple of months.

  2. How Long is Inu Yasha?

The are currently 27 tankouban available, two artbooks, and a number of animation comics. The weekly release is up to about volume 30 though.

  3. How Long is the Inu Yasha Anime?

The anime is AT LEAST 89 episodes so far (last I checked) but I have not watched it since around episode 30 because It deviated too much from the manga. If you are fortunate enough to have the Cartoon Network with your cable package (I am not) you can watch Inu Yasha there.

  4. Where can I download Inu Yasha manga/anime?

Er. . . IRC? It's licensed by VIS, both anime AND manga, you can either fork over the money for the GN's, and the DVD's when they come, or you can import it and use online translations, or surf IRC until you find it. I'm not making a guide, I don't trade, etc.

  5. Where can I buy Inu Yasha stuff??

For Japanese manga, try Sasugabooks. It's where I buy almost everything. There are other retailers as well, I'll list a few soon.

For English Manga, pretty much any comic store, or VIZ itself. My local comic store is the Million Year Picnic, but usually places like Newbury Comics have them, too.

For the Anime, you can either scour IRC, watch it on Cartoon Network, or wait for the English DVD's to come out. Short of these options, you may learn Japanese, and order the Japanese DVD's. Sorry!

    Site Questions

  1. How do you make those thumbnails?

I use a program called ThumbsPlus, you can get it at their website: http://www.cerious.com/. Otherwise, its really just a big table full of small images with links. I use this program because it does it automatically, and I already spend so much time editing the html it makes for me, I don't want to spend the time making all the little images too.

  2. Can I link you?

Sure! Send me your web address, and one of these days I'll link you too (hopefully). I'm a bit slow on updating the links page.

  3. Why don't you update more/upload more pictures?

I'm busy and lazy and it takes to long to scan images I don't even hold the copy right for, so, I'm not updating the images anymore. I DO however, have a fan gallery now, you may send me stuff (fanart/fiction) and I'll post it.
